Spirit Airlines is about to make a lot of people in Ohio very happy.
The budget airline announced today that beginning February 15, 2018, they will be offering flights out of John Glenn International Airport. Spirit will be offering nonstop service to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Tampa and Fort Myers.
Starting on March 22, 2018, Spirit will begin offering seasonal service to New Orleans and Myrtle Beach.
“We are excited to bring our ultra-low fares to Columbus just in time for spring break, connecting central Ohio to some of Spirit’s top vacation destinations,” said Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Network Planning.
Spirit Airlines will offer daily, year-round flights to Orlando, Las Vegas, and Fort Lauderdale. Tampa and Fort Myers will also be daily flights, but they will be available seasonally until April 28 and again starting November 8, 2018.

Finally, flights to New Orleans and Myrtle Beach will occur three times per week, from March 22, 2018 – November 7, 2018.
You are allowed one small, personal bag on Spirit Flights free of charge. But every other bag will cost you extra.
