One of your favorite food truck/pop-ups has their own brick and mortar spot at North Market, and it’s well worth a visit.
Preston’s specializes in delighting the masses with delicious burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries you’ll be dreaming about, and more. What started as a pop-up has quickly grown into one of the city’s most popular spots to grab a burger.
Their North Market location was announced last fall. “This town is no stranger to burger joints, but Preston’s is on another level,” said North Market’s Executive Director Rick Harrison Wolfe in October 2020. “Top notch ingredients and preparation make them best in class by far. We’re proud to be their first permanent location and know they are bound for burger greatness.”
I’ve had a visit to Preston’s on my to-do list for a while now, and I can honestly say that it lived up to the hype, and then some. I went for their classic burger and an order of fries and everything about it was perfection.
The burger was flavorful and the fries have quickly climbed to the top of my personal “best fries in Columbus” list. I will admit that the burger got a little messy while I was eating, but I certainly didn’t hold that against it.
Visiting the North Market is always a blast and although it was a little windy, there were plenty of tables outside to enjoy our lunch. While you’re inside, you’ll notice tons of hand sanitizer throughout the market, as well as social distancing guidelines on the floor. You’ll also be required to wear a mask while you’re inside.
Preston’s: A Burger Joint is located in the North Market at 59 Spruce Street. Right now, they are open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about visiting North Market, as well as their COVID-19 policies, please click here.
