Sneak Peek: National Veterans Memorial And Museum

The brand new National Veterans Memorial and Museum will officially open on October 27.

But if you’ve been eager to get a peek inside, you’re not alone. I’m happy to report back that I’ve been inside and it’s exactly as wonderful as you’re imagining. The museum is stunning. It’s full of inspiring stories and historical artifacts, as well as beautiful, solemn places for quiet reflection.

The grand opening of the facility is a weekend-long celebration, beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 27. General Colin M. Powell will give the keynote address before a ribbon cutting ceremony opens the Museum and Memorial.

Although admission will typically cost between $10-17, the Grand Opening celebration is free for the public to attend. You must reserve tickets to visit the museum after the ceremony. You can sign up here.
