Hocking Hills has never been hotter.
The region was recently named one of the top 50 vacation destinations (in the world) by Forbes and the accommodation options are growing every year. When I was growing up, a visit to Hocking Hills meant one of three styles of accommodation: log cabins, campgrounds, or the state park lodge.
These days, properties range from houses built into caves to lodges with private waterfalls and everything in between. But a new property that’s already getting national attention is about to hit the market.
Overlooking Lake Logan, The Oasis Hocking Hills is an 8-acre collection of various accommodations, including two treehouses, a modern A-Frame lodge, and a 25-person mountain-style lodge that has its own golf simulator, pickle ball court, and more. Barger Property Venture, the masterminds behind the new project, has already proven successful at making guests happy. Their Short North Art Gallery and Downtown Oasis properties have been featured as some of Airbnb’s top listings in Columbus.

“It has been a dream to design a property that my family and yours can escape to regularly, a place that feels like a journey to Colorado or Montana, but is in our backyard. Hocking Hills and Lake Logan is a special place that we built for our family and yours to make lasting memories for years to come,” Kyle Barger of Barger Property Venture said in a press release.
The first property to be completed at The Oasis is the Lakefront Treehouse. It’s a beautiful spot Overlooking Lake Logan with a wraparound deck, a suspension bridge to a floating deck, and even a swinging bed. It’s got sunset views for days and it’s not hard to imagine it becoming a popular destination for visitors.
“The Lakefront Treehouse is the definition of a unique luxury escape,” said Jenni Wiseman, Concierge for the Oasis. “It is a childhood dream realized, a perfect place for a couple seeking a whimsical but relaxing romantic evening or weekend.”
Guests of The Oasis have access to something very unique for a short-term rental property: a concierge. Whether you’re hoping for a stocked fridge, a celebratory bottle of champagne to add a little romance to your weekend, or even a private chef for a memorable dinner, the concierge is there to hook you up. It’s an elevated, luxury experience that you don’t find everywhere in Hocking Hills, which is more remote than visitors realize sometimes.
“Hocking Hills offers many wonderful experiences, but at The Oasis, we want you to feel like a celebrity each and every stay,” Barger explained. “We have carefully designed every inch of these properties with your comfort in mind. I want simply the best for my family – and yours.”
The ground has broken on the other three properties, which are quickly coming along. The Modern A-Frame and Rustic Treehouse will be completed by early summer and the Lodge by fall, Wiseman said.
Like most unique and exciting new properties in Hocking Hills, The Oasis is probably going to book up fast. If you’d like more information about planning your visit, head over to OasisHH.com.
