Raise your hand if you’ve ever stayed the night in a barn.
I haven’t had the opportunity, but I’m pretty sure I just found the perfect one for my first “barncation.” If you have stayed in a barn, I’d be willing to bet it probably wasn’t as nice as this one.
According to the listing, the 100-year-old barn has been renovated in a Scandinavian style. It’s “full of natural light, and filled with contemporary amenities, you will truly have the opportunity for a relaxing and productive stay whether visiting Granville for work or pleasure.”
That’s a really nice way of saying that this place is absolutely breathtaking. It’s simple and elegant and it feels like the kind of place where you could really unwind for a few days.
The barn is currently rented for $130 per night. It has 5 stars and the host is considered a super-host.
There is ample parking available and downtown Granville and Denison University are within walking distance from the rental. Plus, for all my fellow introverts, they have a simple self check-in process.
Annette stayed at the barn in December and left this glowing review.
“The Granville Barn exceeded our expectations! The location of the barn was walking distance to everything that the town of Granville has to offer. The attention to detail on the renovation was outstanding. The interior and exterior could be admired for hours. It is a cozy spot with all of the needed amenities. Notable unique touches include beverage options to enjoy upon check-in and a beautiful new shower with fluffy white towels to clean up after you arrive.
And take advantage of all the Instagrammable features including the custom neon sign! We worked during our stay and wifi was easy to access and fast. There were plenty of comfy spots in this Airbnb to enjoy views and be productive. The hosts are wonderful at communication. Hands down better than any hotel experience. We cannot wait to stay here again on our next trip to historic Granville!”
