Are you ready to boogie? Because disco may be making a comeback here in Columbus.
If you’ve been wondering what will take over the fantastic former location of Cosecha Cocina, you can stop now. It’s going to become a dance club. The unique, vacant space at 987 N. 4th St. has been snapped up by Local Cantina Group and will become Go Go, a new bar with a dance floor.
There will be bar food and snacks available, but the focus will be on drinks and dancing, according to George Tanchevski, owner of Local Cantina.
“I’m bringing disco back,” Tanchevski told Columbus Business First. “It’s going to almost be like a little, baby discotheque. I always wanted a bar with a dance floor.”
The bar is expected to open in late spring or early summer, so if you don’t have the perfect disco-inspired outfit prepared yet, you’ve got a little time. Details weren’t immediately available on how well a dance floor will lend itself to COVID-19 precautions, but since we’re a few months out, you can bet that there are plans in the works.
