East Market officially opened its doors to the public over the weekend.
Located on the first floor and the lower level, the bars are the first two spaces within the East Market to open. Additional vendors will be opening in the near future.
The Railhouse is located on the first floor of the market, offering a tavern vibe where customers can gather with friends to enjoy a delicious meal and yummy drinks.
On the lower level, visitors will find Switch, a speakeasy-style bar perfect for cocktails on date night. Taking inspiration from the Trolley District, the interior design and the names of both new spaces are a nod to the property’s previous life as a trolley repair depot.
Both bars will be open on Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight, Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
Additional vendors that will be opening in the future at the East Market include Ohio City Pasta, Taste of Greece and Moroccan Street Food, Too Good Eats, Winston’s Coffee & Waffles, the Butcher and the Grocers, American Nut Co., Creole 2 Geaux, Macho Taco, The Plant Gays, Trolley Barn Chicken, and Yellow Brick Pizza.
The exact opening date of the vendors has yet to be determined, but you can keep up with updates by following the East Market on Facebook and Instagram.
