The thing I love the most about this city is that no matter where you find yourself, you’ll be able to find good food.
Although I live in downtown Columbus these days, I originally hail from the southwest side of the city. I grew up in Galloway, but my high school was located in Grove City (Go Comets!) and I spent a lot of time there in my wild youth. Back then, we mostly stuck to chain places like Waffle House and Chipotle, but a lot has changed since I left.
In addition to some of the iconic staples in town, newer restaurants have popped up that are seriously upping the food game in town. We’re going to explore the must-try spots around Grove City, so we can turn them into places we can’t wait to go back to.
Details: Lilly’s Kitchen Table is a family-owned and operated diner in the heart of Grove City. It’s a charming place to grab breakfast or lunch when you’re in town, and you’ll feel right at home.
Location: 4008 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123
Details: Housed in a fantastic 1850’s building, Plank’s on Broadway is an iconic restaurant in downtown Grove City. Known for their pizza, Plank’s also serves pub fare and hosts live music from local artists on the weekends. It’s a neighborhood place that’s inviting and cozy. No frills, just good food and fun times.
Location: 4022 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123
Details: What happens when three brothers grow up learning homestyle cooking from their mother? They open an incredible restaurant, that’s what. The three brothers serve authentic, Mexican-inspired dishes that are unique to the trio. Everything on the menu is made from scratch, including the bread. 3 Brothers Diner serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Location: 3090 Southwest Blvd. Grove City, OH 43123
Details: You’ll find no better restaurant that fits the definition of “hidden gem” in Grove City than Siam Hibachi. Inconspicuously tucked away in a strip mall off Stringtown Road, this hibachi joint is waiting to exceed your expectations.
Location: 2257 Stringtown Rd, Grove City, OH 43123
Details: Grove City Brewing Company is the place to gather with friends over a pint and a burger, especially if the burger you’re craving is a bison burger. The brewpub is located right in the heart of downtown Grove City, perfect if you’re looking to stay in town during your visit.

Details: Looking for the perfect place to put on a nice dress and have a relaxing meal? Cimi’s Bistro at Pinnacle is for you. Overlooking the golf course, the patio is absolutely stunning. Order a glass of wine, eat some delicious house-made pasta, and relish in the quality service. Don’t feel too sad when you leave. You’ll be back.
Location: 1500 Pinnacle Club Dr, Grove City, Ohio
Details: I’m fully on board with the creative donut trend that is happening around the world right now. Dragon Donuts are some of the best around. The place gets its name from a painfully cute story about the owner Josh introducing himself to his stepson as Dragon instead of his real name. The story is almost as good as the donuts. They have all sorts of unique flavors, guaranteeing that you’ll find the perfect dought treat.
Location: 2806 London Groveport Rd, Grove City, OH 43123
Details: You can’t eat in Grove City and not get a pizza from Zamarelli’s. This family-owned pizza parlor has been doling out pies, subs, salads & basic pasta dishes since 1963. They know what they’re doing.
