The Ohio State Fair Is Opening A Huge New Food Hall With Some Of Ohio’s Favorite Restaurants

The Ohio State Fair is giving hungry visitors a brand-new place to grab a bite this summer.

Debuting at the 2026 fair is the Ohio Showcase Building, a new 55,000-square-foot attraction that celebrates the state’s history, innovation, and food scene.

At the heart of the new building is an air-conditioned food hall featuring six Ohio-based restaurants, making it a welcome place to cool off while enjoying some local favorites.

This year’s restaurant lineup includes:

  • The Cheesecake Girl
  • Daisy’s Fish Shack
  • Glass City Pizzeria
  • Marlow’s Cheesesteaks
  • Schmidt’s Sausage Haus
  • Sweet Carrot

“When the Ohio State Fair and the architects came up with the concept for this building, I knew we needed to work together to celebrate Ohio restaurants,” Governor Mike DeWine said in a statement. “There is so much great food in Ohio, and with these restaurants, we will see a variety of Ohio foods found in our great state.”

The food hall will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the fair, giving visitors a comfortable indoor spot to enjoy lunch, dinner, or dessert between rides and exhibits.

The Ohio Showcase Building offers more than great food.

Visitors can also explore Shaping Ohio, an interactive exhibit highlighting the inventions, ideas, and innovators that have helped shape the Buckeye State. The experience includes a 360-degree film that brings Ohio’s history and achievements to life.

Located near the center of the fairgrounds, the building also includes multiple event spaces that will be available for rentals after the fair season.

The 2026 Ohio State Fair runs July 29 through August 9, and the new Ohio Showcase Building is expected to become one of the fair’s biggest additions this year. Between local restaurants, air conditioning, and interactive exhibits, it may end up being one of the most popular stops on the midway.
