The Adult Book Fair At Land-Grant Is the Nostalgia Trip We’ve Been Waiting For

If you ever blew your entire allowance on posters of cats hanging from vaguely psychedelic tree branches at the Scholastic Book Fair, this one’s for you. (Was that just me? It can’t be just me!)

On Sunday, September 13, 2026, the Adult Book Fair is back for another year. Land-Grant Brewing Co. is turning Gravity Experience Park, its outdoor hangout across the street from the Franklinton taproom, into something straight out of your childhood dreams, hosted by Wandering Quills Bookshop and a whole crew of local indie booksellers and makers.

Think of it like the book fair you begged your parents to give you $10 for, except now you’ve got adult money and the option to sip a cold IPA while you shop. (So, objectively better.)

The vendor list is out, and it runs 20 makers deep. Look for NatterDoodle’s hand-lettered prints and cards, Serafine Art & Design’s bookish stickers and stationery, The Bibliophile Candle Co., Hannah Elise Co. embroidery, DAY Gabriel Crochet, Daisy Market Co. stationery, and Magandang Bakery, a Filipino cottage bakery, for when browsing turns into snacking. Wandering Quills has the full roster on Instagram. On the book side, Bookspace has already confirmed it’s coming, and last year’s crew included Little Gay Bookstore, Next Chapter Bookshop Plus, Novels and Needles, and Tastes and Tomes.

Basically, you’re going to leave with a tote bag full of books and at least one candle that smells like “Dark Academia in October.”

📚🍻 The Details:

  • When: Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Where: Land-Grant at Gravity Experience Park, 98 McDowell Street, Columbus (across the street from the Land-Grant taproom)
  • Who: Kids are welcome, and the park is dog friendly, so the whole household can come relive the glory days.
  • Why: Because adulthood deserves book fairs, too.

Follow @wanderingquillsbooks on Instagram for updates and sneak peeks at the vendors. And start clearing off some shelf space now. You’re going to need it.
