Another day, another beautiful rooftop patio.
It feels like Columbus has quickly gone from a scarcity of rooftop patios to a plethora of choices. The latest is Goodale Station, which has just opened up overlooking Nationwide and High. The views are insane. The new restaurant/bar is located on the twelfth floor of the recently opened Canopy by Hilton.
Goodale Station has both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a beautiful private dining area that is begging to host your rehearsal dinner. Seriously, if a downtown glam wedding is your dream, then you can’t beat the stunning view of the Columbus skyline from this room.
The restaurant can accommodate up to 200 guests and is open daily for dinner and drinks at 4 p.m. Highlights of the food menu are the oysters, the pork belly, and Ohio Wagyu New York Strip.
“Our menus are driven by the local bounty of Ohio and the Midwest to produce creative New American Cuisine,” said Tripp Maudlin, Executive Chef. “Working with local farmers and artisans allows for the inspiration and creativity in the kitchen.”
When it comes to cocktails, the sky is the limit.
The drink menu features a mix of classic and unique offerings, including The Loose Cannon, made with Rittenhouse rye whiskey, Plantation pineapple rum, banana, and Elemakule Tiki Bitters, and The Fancy Nancy, made with Watershed chamomile vodka, Lillet Blanc, lemon juice, yuzu, and St. Germain.
“Our goal is to create bold and flavorful dishes that rotate and change throughout the seasons.” Said Mauldin. “Goodale Station is elegant but comfortable and inviting and offers the perfect backdrop for after-work drinks to celebratory dinners.”
A dedicated elevator will take guests up to Goodale Station, so don’t worry about cutting through the hotel. There is complimentary valet parking available for Goodale Station visitors, which makes the idea of going out for drinks in the Short North seem a lot less stressful!
