Urban Meyer’s Newest Restaurant Will Open In The Short North On May 12

The latest restaurant from Chris Corso and Urban Meyer will open next week.

Urban Chophouse will open in the Short North on May 12 inside the Luxe 23 apartment community. Corso and Meyer previously partnered back in 2019 at Urban’s Pint House, located in Dublin’s Bridge Park.

Urban Chophouse aims to combine a modern steakhouse with a lavish lounge experience. The restaurant will have a world-class selection of steaks, seafood, a raw bar, sushi, and craft cocktails.

“My newest coaching challenge may be in Jacksonville, but my heart remains in my home state of Ohio and the City of Columbus where I experienced many of my greatest career accomplishments,” Meyer said. “Developing the Pint House from concept to the premier gameday restaurant destination in central Ohio gave me a similar sense of pride and excitement as taking a team from the first day of practice to the first game. I needed to challenge myself and the unparalleled Corso team to create another concept and I cannot wait to unveil it to the community.”

The restaurant is part of Lux 23, a luxury community owned and operated by Chris Corso and Preferred Living. The community features 113 high-end apartments with amenities like a full-service concierge, controlled access parking garage, a fitness center, preferred reservations and discounts for all Corso restaurants as well as room service from Urban Chophouse.

Across the lobby from Urban Chophouse, visitors will find Whiskey Lounge. The bar will offer over 100 spirits including some barrel selections made by Urban Meyer. The lounge will have gorgeous views of the Short North by day and live-music and bottle service by night.

At the very top of Luxe 23 sits Terrace Bar. It’s described as blending “the sophistication of a Charleston rooftop bar with the energy of a Las Vegas pool.”
