In a perfect world, celebrating amazing moms would be something that we do every day.
But as we all know, this world isn’t perfect. So the very least we can do is spend this weekend treating our mom’s like fabulous individuals they are.
It doesn’t matter whether your mom’s idea of fun is sipping on a glass wine, getting creative, or being pampered, there is no shortage of special events to celebrate Mother’s Day in Columbus.
What: The Zoo is full of moms and new babies, which makes it the perfect place to take your mom to celebrate! Grandmas and moms will receive free admission to the Columbus Zoo with a paid child’s admission.
When: May 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, 4850 Powell Rd, Powell, Ohio 43065
What: Ready to get a little physical this Mother’s day? Baby Boot Camp Columbus is hosting a special workout with treats, shopping, and celebration after the class. Calling all #strongmoms!
When: May 11 at 11 a.m.
Where: Ballantrae Park, 6350 Woerner Temple Rd, Dublin, Ohio 43016
What: The Glass Slipper will host their annual Mother’s Day Tea with a menu that includes fruit and cheese, a variety of quiche, sweet treats, and tea. Reservations are required for this event. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children.
When: May 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

What: If there are two things I love its champagne and hanging out with women who inspire me. Since I’m 100% certain I’m not the only one, I’ll let you in on a little secret. Florish will host a fun morning of mimosas and wreath making for you and the special moms in your life.
When: May 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

What: The Columbus Modern Dance Company is putting on quite the show at the Topiary Park for a whimsical and exciting Mother’s Day dance celebration. Tea and light refreshments will be served at intermission.
When: May 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Topiary Park, 480 East Town Street, Columbus, OH 43215
What: Hey all of you awesome moms out there! Head to this special workshop to taste natural, locally made sangrias and wines from Via Vecchia winery, learn how to blend essential oils to create your very own unique perfume with the help of Ohio Essentials, and create custom screen printed wine or tote bags. Tickets are $60-$70 and include brunch food, coffee, tea, and other non-alcoholic beverages.
When: May 12, 2 session from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Mother’s Day Carriage Rides and Photos
What: Easton Town Center is pulling out all the stops for Mother’s Day. Grab your mom and stop by the Central Park Fountain for free Mother’s Day photos. After that, you can hop into a horse-drawn carriage for a relaxing ride around Easton’s North District. Tickets for the carriage ride are $10 per person, kids 15 and under ride for free with a paying adult.
When: May 12, photos from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., carriage rides from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

What: The Franklin Park Conservatory will be celebrating Mother’s Day all weekend long. On Saturday, you can release a butterfly into the Blooms & Butterflies exhibit for $5 or let your kids plant a flower for you in a planter they decorated themselves. On Sunday, there will be special visitors from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and a special Patio Sale.
When: May 11 and 12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
