Otherworld Founder Plans $10M Immersive Spa Near German Village

A new immersive spa experience is coming to the edge of German Village, and it’s being led by a familiar name in Columbus’ experiential scene.

Jordan Renda, the founder of Otherworld, is teaming up with his brother Kevin Renda of Ten27 Group to bring Stillhaus, a $10 million thermal spa and sensory wellness retreat, to a historic building in the Brewery District. The 20,000-plus square-foot property at 520 S. High St. recently sold for $2.3 million, clearing the way for redevelopment and a planned opening in late 2026.

According to project details, Stillhaus will be designed as a day-retreat-style destination inspired by European spa culture. Plans include multiple saunas and steam rooms, thermal and saltwater pools, cold plunges, hot tubs, treatment rooms, and experiential pools — all connected by intentionally designed environments meant to slow visitors down and encourage calm. Immersive video and sensory elements will also be woven throughout the space, a nod to Renda’s background creating otherworldly environments rather than traditional wellness facilities.

The building itself spans nearly 21,000 square feet and sits at the border of German Village and the Brewery District.

The convenient location is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and neighborhood landmarks while still feeling tucked away enough to function as a retreat. Renda described the project as something that’s been quietly in the works for years, with extensive planning, underwriting, and design happening behind the scenes before the purchase was finalized.

Architectural renderings are being handled by German Village–based architects Joel Burke and Elizabeth Leidy, AIA, with construction now moving from concept into the build phase. Once complete, Stillhaus aims to offer Columbus something it doesn’t currently have: a large-scale, immersive thermal spa experience focused on atmosphere as much as physical wellness.

If all goes according to plan, Stillhaus will open in late 2026, giving Columbus residents a new place to unplug, sweat it out, and briefly escape the noise of the city without ever leaving it.
