Paid Parking Arrives at Easton: Which Lots Are Affected?

Big changes are coming to the parking situation at Easton Town Center, and shoppers will want to take note. Seven parking lots at the popular Columbus shopping destination now require payment. The move aims to make parking in high-demand areas more efficient during busy times, but it’s also sparking some questions from visitors.

Starting January 5, 2025, Easton began charging for parking in several key lots, including the ones near Barnes & Noble, Crate & Barrel, Piada, Life Time Fitness, and Apple. Two smaller lots on the west side of the shopping center—one between Shake Shack and Victoria’s Secret and one near Anthropologie and Diamond Cellar—are also now part of the paid parking program.

If you’re parking in one of these areas, payments can be made through the ParkMobile app, which allows users to pay for and extend their parking time. Rates for these lots are $1 per hour, with a minimum of 30 minutes. If you’re just popping in for a quick errand or staying longer for dinner and a movie, you can adjust your parking time in 30-minute increments.

According to Easton management, this change is designed to create more parking turnover in high-demand areas, making it easier for visitors to snag a spot during peak hours. “This will allow for more frequent car turnover and availability in key parking areas,” Easton management told NBC4.

But if you’re worried about having to pay for parking every time you visit, don’t panic.

Easton says that 90% of its parking, including more than 7,000 spaces in garages and surface lots, will remain free. Complimentary options include the Fenlon Square Garage near Macy’s, the Nordstrom lot, and various other garages and lots throughout the center.

For those opting for street parking, the rates are $2 per hour, with a minimum of 30 minutes and the ability to increase time by 15-minute increments. Easton notes that proceeds from the new paid parking program will support the Easton Community Foundation.
