Old Spice is opening its first-ever barbershop in Columbus next month
This is the first foray into retail space for Old Spice, which is owned by Cincinnati-based Proctor & Gamble. The new space’s close proximity to the Ohio State University was a major draw for the business.
The barbershop will offer a content studio, celebrity barber residencies, and more. The shop has also teamed up with local coffee roaster Brioso for a unique co-branded roast that patrons can sip while visiting the shop.
“Old Spice is turning the traditional barbershop on its head by welcoming guys into the Old Spice universe for a real-life experience with the brand they know and love,” said Leif Edgar, Old Spice Brand Director at Procter & Gamble. “Every single detail from the front desk to the mural in the back of the shop has been created for a truly memorable experience as we help our guys navigate the seas of manhood with the perfect haircut, style and hair grooming products.”

The shop will have some very Instagrammable elements, including the massive wooden boat that serves as the reception desk. The content studio will be a spot where visitors can create and share real-time social and digital content. The celebrity barbers in residence will be able to provide their clients with unique experiences, and we’ll all be able to follow along on social media.
The Old Spice barbershop will open on March 1. For more info, you can visit the Old Spice website here.
