Columbus is saying goodbye to a downtown favorite.
Milestone 229, nestled along the Scioto Mile, has announced it will close its doors at the end of the year. After 14 years of serving up delicious meals and stunning riverfront views, the restaurant’s lease negotiations with the City of Columbus couldn’t reach a mutually favorable agreement. Their last day of operations will be December 31, 2024.
Known for its prime location near Bicentennial Park at the corner of Rich and 2nd Streets, Milestone 229 has been the backdrop for countless memories, from anniversaries to graduations and everything in between.
The team at Milestone 229 shared their gratitude in a heartfelt social media post, thanking guests for allowing them to be a part of so many life milestones. As they prepare for their final chapter, they’re inviting everyone to stop by one last time for a meal or drink to toast to their legacy.
Milestone 229 operates Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., until 10 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays. Make plans to visit before the new year—it’s your last chance to soak in the views and enjoy the hospitality of this Columbus gem.
