Franklin County Storm Victims Can Now Apply For FEMA Aid

Federal disaster aid is now open to Franklin County residents who lost property in the August storms. FEMA announced on October 2nd that a major disaster declaration has been declared for Ohio, and applications are open now. The declaration, DR-4945-OH, covers severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, flooding and landslides from August 10th through the 22nd.

The Ohio History Center Is Closed Until December

The Ohio History Center museum is closed to the public through early December for building-system upgrades, the Ohio History Connection said in an announcement on its site. Every event at the museum through December is postponed. The Halloween and holiday events at Ohio Village are not affected and will still run on their scheduled dates.
