The new state-of-the-art Hocking Hills State Park Lodge is one step closer to welcoming guests.

The new lodge will replace the former dining lodge that was destroyed in a fire back in 2016. The new facility will be a two-story lodge with 81 overnight guestrooms, a full-service restaurant, and indoor and outdoor pools.

The project is expected to be completed in 2022, opening for guests by October 2022. The final exterior beam was installed with a little pomp and circumstance and it marks an important step in the build.

“Hocking Hills is one of the crown jewels of our state park system, and we want visitors to have a top-notch lodging experience as they explore this breathtaking region,” ODNR Director Mary Mertz said. “Every day brings us closer to the opening of this state-of-the-art facility, and I can’t wait for the public to see the finished product.”
