The day Harvest Pizzeria left German Village was a very sad day in my house.
We got used to having delicious pizza mere moments away and I’m not going to lie, it was a big adjustment for us. I know this sounds dramatic, but what can I say? The pizza is that good.
But now, our sadness is thankfully at an end. Harvest Pizzeria has announced their return to our neck of the woods, with a new location opening up in the Brewery District.
“Our first home was in German Village and that will always be emotionally ingrained in us,” said Harvest owner Chris Crader. “With the overwhelming public response we received as the former German Village restaurant was closing we knew it was not only our pleasure, but also our duty, to return.”
The new spot will be taking over 940 S. Front Street, a 4,500 square foot restaurant that formerly housed Westies Gastropub. The menu at the Brewery District location will be similar to the Harvest Bar + Kitchen in Clintonville, serving up pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, and more.
Although that’s a change from the wood-fired pies focus of the original German Village location, I’m still jazzed about it. The restaurant is expected to open this winter.
