If you’ve been sitting at home thinking, “If only I could spend the day in Stars Hollow,” I’ve got some great freakin’ news for you.
The city of Akron is celebrating Gilmore Girls in the best possible way: by transforming into Stars Hollow! On Sunday, November 18, from 1-5 p.m., the town will host an epic Gilmore Girls-inspired celebration. The event will include a screening of three episodes from the original (best, I said it) series, with Gilmore Girls Trivia taking place between episodes.
If you need to stretch your legs, you can head over to Lock Next, which will be acting as Luke’s Diner. There, visitors can get their hands on freshly popped popcorn and coffee. Throughout “Stars Hollow” you’ll find voting stations where you can cast your official vote for best Gilmore Girls Boyfriend, so now is probably a good time to dig out that Team Jess t-shirt from 2005.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Stars Hollow without a town troubadour. Musical stylings will be provided by Jeff Klemm and a barbershop quartet will be around to serenade townspeople.
The best news? The festival is free to attend! For more information, please click here.
