This Authentic South End Diner Will Transport You Back In Time

Nestled on the southern edge of Columbus, on South High Street, you’ll find an old school diner that will transport you back in time.

Dan’s Drive In Diner originally opened in 1952 at the corner of Mound and High. In 1957, it moved to it’s current location and has been an icon in the neighborhood ever since.

Although the diner is less “drive in” and more “dine in” these days, it still has that classic, Americana charm.

Although I wanted to sit at the counter, for the authentic diner experience, I had dragged three of my coworkers along on this adventure, so we opted for a table.

Since Dan’s serves breakfast all day, I knew that bacon and eggs were in my future.

My coworker was feeling lunch, so she went with a diner classic, a burger and fries, instead.

But come on… Who says no to pancakes?

The food was simple, tasty, and crazy affordable.

Dan’s Drive In Diner is located at 1881 S. High Street. They’re open Monday-Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
