After two years, the 41st Annual Jazz & Rib Fest will return to the riverfront this summer.
The Jazz & Rib Fest will take place July 22-24, 2022, making its return for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
“We could not be more thrilled to get back to business and put on the Jazz & Rib Fest, and to fill the streets adjacent to the Scioto River with live music, food vendors and people enjoying themselves,” said Bernita Reese, Columbus Recreation and Parks Department Director. “It has been a Columbus staple for more than 40 years, and a major highlight of the summer. With our tremendous line-up of artists, and of course the top-notch barbecue, we are anticipating a great event that’s fun for everyone.”
Of course, it’s not just a weekend-long celebration this year. BBQ Week will be the official start of celebrations and will run July 18-24. Restaurants, food trucks, and other establishments around Central Ohio will be offering barbecue-inspired specials throughout the week.
The festival itself will offer three full days of incredible music and delicious food. Headlining performances include Robert Glasper, Lalah Hathaway, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Boney James, Kirk Whalum, and Dee Dee Bridgwater with Columbus Jazz Orchestra.
The festival, held at Bicentennial and West Bank Parks on the Scioto Mile, will be open Friday, July 22 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, July 23 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday, July 24, from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free.
