As summer approaches, so does home and garden season.
In recent years, television channels like HGTV and DIY have turned home design, decor, and landscaping into full-blown obsessions for many viewers. If you don’t know about farmhouse chic, you’ve probably been living under a rock.
Columbus has tons of beautiful neighborhoods, and even more beautiful homes. Once a year, neighborhoods like to show off their best and brightest homes and gardens by putting on a tour.
Some tours are self-guided walking tours, while others offer a shuttle from house to house. They vary in dates, price, and even style. But they all share one common factor: They showcase the best homes in our city.
Bexley House and Garden TourJune 5, 2022
On June 5, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., the Bexley Women’s Club will return to showcase both interiors and exteriors of six beautiful homes on the Bexley House and Garden Tour. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of. The Bexley BEAT bus will be available to shuttle between houses and there will also be bicycle parking at each location and food trucks at Columbus School for Girls.
Westgate Home and Garden TourJune 11, 2022
The Westgate Home and Garden Tour will return on Saturday, June 11 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Westgate is a unique neighborhood in Columbus, offering some adorable, charming homes. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance or on the day of, before 1:30.
German Village Haus Und Garten TourJune 26, 2022
On Sunday, June 26 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., German Village will hold its 61st Annual Haus Und Garten tour. In one of the most well-known home and garden tours, thousands of visitors will get a look at these gorgeous historic homes and their modern, updated interiors.
Merion Village Garden TourJuly 10, 2022
The Merion Village Home and Garden tour will take place on Saturday, July 10. This is the 23rd year for the garden tour event, which is free and open to the public! Come over to my neck of the woods and see an enchanting garden or two.
Worthington Tour of Homes & Gardens Date TBD
The Annual Worthington Tour of Homes & Gardens is hosted by the Worthington Historical Society and it’s one of my favorite tours in the area. Worthington is straight-up picturesque and the homes range from charming to stunning. Ticket and tour info have not been released yet, but you can stay in the loop by checking the Worthington Historical Society’s website.
Olde Towne East Tour Of Historic HomesDate TBD
Olde Towne East Summer Tour of Historic Homes typically features gorgeous, unique, and beautifully crafted historic houses throughout the neighborhood. The tour dates for 2022 have yet to be released, but the event typically takes place in the second half of the summer. You can follow along for more updates at facebook.com/oldetownetour.
Clintonville Open Garden TourDate TBD
The date for the 2022 Clintonville Open Garden Tour has yet to be released, but it will likely fall in mid-July. Clintonville is one of the most unique neighborhoods in Columbus, with its winding streets and surprising bluffs, the neighborhood often showcases a wide range of homes.
Short North Tour of Homes & Gardens | September 18, 2022
The Short North Tour of Homes & Gardens may not take place until September, but it’s one everyone should have on their calendars. This year will be the 47th year of the tour. The two-day affair typically includes a Pre-Tour and Party the night before, followed by the main event on Sunday. This year will see the return of the shuttles, making it even easier for visitors to travel between stops.
