Ohio’s First Buc-ee’s Will Officially Open In April

OHuber Heights will soon welcome Ohio’s first Buc-ee’s, the Texas-based convenience store chain famous for its large stores and extensive snack selection. The location is set to open April 6 at 6 a.m., according to Mayor Jeff Gore, who also said first responders from surrounding counties can get a sneak peek on April 3.

The new store will be located at the intersection of State Route 235 and Interstate 70, and it will include 120 gas pumps and 700 parking spaces, making it one of the largest fueling stations in the region.

“Huber Heights is the perfect spot for our first Ohio store,” said Stan Beard of Buc-ee’s. “It’s a beautiful stretch of I-70 between Columbus and Indianapolis and we are excited to be a part of this community.”

Buc-ee’s began in 1982.

Forty years later, and they’ve expanded to 54 locations across the U.S., including a store in Luling, Texas, that is the largest convenience store in the world.

Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Buc-ee’s sells a mix of snacks, food, and merchandise, from Beaver Nuggets and Trail Blazin’ Crunch trail mix to homemade fudge and brisket sandwiches. Its restrooms have also earned recognition for being exceptionally clean.

For Ohio residents, this will be the first chance to experience the Texas-based chain without leaving the state.
