Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop Opens In Dublin’s Bridge Park

A new storefront at Bridge Park sells bottled soda from around the world and the kind of nostalgic candy that you probably haven’t seen in decades. Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop opened Friday, August 21 at 4482 Bridge Park Avenue in Dublin.

It’s the first Dublin location for the national franchise. The soda wall covers classic favorites, small-batch craft labels, international bottles and novelty flavors, and the rest of the shop stocks nostalgic and hard-to-find candy, international sweets, retro toys and collectibles. The chain started in California in 2007 and has grown to more than 100 stores. It also bottles its own soda line, with flavors that lean unusual on purpose.

“I’m excited to bring this retail concept that our family has loved for years to our friends and neighbors in Dublin,” franchisee Carrie Baker said in the opening announcement. She added that her family “loves Bridge Park” and is “grateful to open Rocket Fizz here.”

Bridge Park developer Crawford Hoying recruited the shop for the district’s retail mix. Zach Graham, the company’s senior vice president of commercial real estate and leasing, said the store will “spark real nostalgia” and give people one more reason to spend an afternoon in the neighborhood.

Rocket Fizz joins a Bridge Park lineup that already includes The Pearl, Pins Mechanical Co., Local Cantina and Fado Pub & Kitchen. The district sits on the east bank of the Scioto River, a short walk over the Dublin Link pedestrian bridge from Old Dublin. The chain isn’t new to central Ohio either; its Short North shop at 944 N. High St. has been a stop for candy runs for years.

The Dublin store hasn’t published regular hours yet. You can get updates over on Instagram at @rocketfizzbridgepark, and the franchise keeps a full store list at rocketfizz.com.
