One of Grandview’s Favorite Cajun Spots Is Closing After 12 Years

After more than a decade of serving up Cajun comfort food in Grandview, Yats is preparing to close its storefront for good.

The restaurant announced on social media that its final day at 1386 Grandview Ave. will be August 20, bringing an end to a 12-year run that made it a neighborhood favorite for hearty Creole and Cajun classics.

In the announcement, the Yats team thanked the community that supported the restaurant over the years.

“This wasn’t an easy decision, but what will never change is how grateful we are for every customer who walked through our doors, shared a meal, introduced a friend to Yats, or made us part of their lives,” the post reads. “You’ve helped create memories that we’ll carry with us forever.”

The good news for fans is that this isn’t the end of Yats in Central Ohio.

While the Grandview brick-and-mortar location is closing, the restaurant’s food truck will continue operating throughout the region. According to the announcement, the truck will keep serving Yats’ signature Cajun dishes at festivals, breweries, neighborhood events, private parties, and through its catering business.

Yats has been a staple in Grandview since opening in 2014, earning a loyal following for its affordable, flavor-packed menu featuring favorites like chili cheese crawfish étouffée, gumbo, drunken chicken, and other Cajun-inspired comfort food.

The restaurant closed its announcement with a heartfelt thank you to customers, writing, “You’ve been so much more than customers. You’ve been family.”

If you’ve been meaning to grab one more bowl of étouffée or introduce a friend to Yats for the first time, you’ll have until August 20 to stop by the Grandview location before it closes its doors.
