The Most-Googled Topics In Columbus (2025)

As the year winds down, it’s always fun to pause and see what Columbus was curious about online. Once again, Google’s annual “Year in Search” gives us a peek into our city’s trending obsessions, and this year’s list is a mix of music, sports, and some truly Columbus-specific curiosity.

Songs, slang, and tickets had everyone clicking

Music searches in 2025 were a mix of viral hits and big-name favorites. Columbus was looking up songs like “Wood” by Taylor Swift, “Golden” by HUNTR/X, “Ordinary” by Alex Warren, “Blue Strips” by Jessie Murph, and “Your Idol” by Saja Boys.

Concerts and live events also captured attention. The top ticket searches included NBA YoungBoy’s Make America Slime Again Tour, the Cotton Bowl Classic, Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem Tour, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour, and even A Minecraft Movie.

Slang meanings got Googled too

Columbus searchers wanted to stay in the know when it comes to modern slang. The most popular queries were “67,” “chopped,” “based,” “glaze,” and “HG.” Clearly, we’re trying to speak the language of the internet as much as anyone else.

And yes, people are keeping tabs on athletes

Jerseys also made the list, with Jeff Teague, Baker Mayfield, Shohei Ohtani, Drake Maye, and Joe Burrow topping the searches. Sports fans in Columbus definitely stayed busy tracking both local legends and big names across leagues.
