8 Pet and Animal Rescues In Columbus For When You’re Looking For A New Furry Friend

If you’re looking for a new pet and companion, you should definitely adopt from one of these awesome shelters and rescues.

With autumn creeping up on us (all be it way too slowly), it’s only a matter of time before those temperatures drop and we all start craving something warm and cuddly to snuggle up with. A furry friend to get us through the cold months and give us some much-needed companionship in the years to come.

Central Ohio has no shortage of moewmers and doggos, just looking for a nice home and a steady meal. These love bugs can be an infinite source of affection if anyone were to give them some tender love and care. If you’re in the market for your new best friend and sidekick, here are some awesome places where you can browse and adopt, but be careful, you’re almost gauranteed to fall head over heels with one these little ones.

Black & Orange Cat Foundation

Located just a little bit away in Plain City, Black & Orange is definitely worth mentioning for a few reasons. Not only is the shelter dedicated to finding homes for needy kitties, but they’re also a trap, neuter, and release organization. They give barn and feral cats in the area much-needed immunization shots and neuter them to curb their already vast populations. Though they mainly focus on house cat adoptions, they’re willing to work with anyone willing to take in a barn or outside feral cat companion.
