This year, the festival will add a third night on Friday, August 26. The Friday evening performances are made possible in part by the venue, CAS. That evening will highlight innovation in mental health treatment and research, and a share of the proceeds will benefit The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health and Nationwide Children’s Hospital and On Our Sleeves®, The Movement for Children’s Mental Health.

“CAS is proud to welcome back WonderBus this summer to The Lawn at CAS. We are also excited to support a Friday evening experience with Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee, Duran Duran and more,” commented Dr. Michael Dennis, vice president of CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society. “WonderBus is not only an amazing music festival, it is a platform to talk about mental health and provide all of us with hope and resilience.”

WonderBus is owned, produced and presented by Elevation Festivals. Also serving as a partner in the festival is Columbus business leader Rick Milenthal and his marketing agency – The Shipyard.

“During one of the most challenging times in all of our lives, 2021 proved to be a very successful year for WonderBus,” stated Denny Young, president of Elevation Festivals. “In recognition of the tremendous energy surrounding the festival, we committed ourselves to building on this momentum and are now extremely proud to present The Lumineers, Lorde and Duran Duran in what will be a very big and epic weekend for all of Ohio.”

“Now more than ever, as we prepare to live through the third year of this global pandemic, we must continue to build resilience in our communities. People are hurting. We’re thankful that the WonderBus festival, with its wonderful lineup of world-class musicians, continues to support our efforts to help people struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts,” said Dr. K. Luan Phan, Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
