Another Solar Eclipse Is Coming In 2024– And Columbus Has An Amazing View

Did you miss the solar eclipse on Monday? Or maybe it just wasn’t as intense as you were expecting. Don’t worry, because the next one is closer than you think.

In 2024, another total solar eclipse will sweep across America, and this time, Ohio is directly in the path of totality. Northern Cincinnati, Dayton, Northern Columbus, and Cleveland, along with other major cities in the state, will experience total darkness for a variety of durations.

On April 8, 2024, the eclipse will sweep from Texas to Maine.

Although the points of greatest duration and greatest eclipse will be in Mexico, the view from the Buckeye state will be good. Areas along the path of totality will experience the event for nearly 4 minutes.
