Steelton Junction Will Celebrate Art And Community, With Live Mural Paintings, Food Trucks, And More

Looking for some weekend plans?

Steelton Junction is coming up and it is going to be an epic evening filled with art, music, and community engagement. Taking place at The Fort’s courtyard in Steelton Village, this gathering aims to inspire neighbors to explore their creative side and come together for a memorable experience.

Just in case you haven’t heard about The Fort, allow me to fill you in. This historic building is one of the most interesting spots in Columbus. The Fort was the former 19th Century home to the ladder and fire truck factory of Seagrave, which was established in 1892. Now, the massive space is home to a variety of local businesses and makers.

Scheduled for Saturday, June 3rd, from 5pm to 8pm, the first installment of Steelton Junction is free for all attendees. Those who RSVP early will also receive a complimentary screen-printed item from Upright Press, aka one of the best screen printers in town and current tenant at The Fort.

Proceeds from Steelton Junction will go towards supporting the Reeb Center and their programming for South Columbus neighborhoods. To learn more about the Reeb Center’s work and ways to get involved, you can click right here.

During the event, The Fort’s courtyard will come alive with live music, mural painting, and interactive activities. Local artisans will be present, offering their goods, while food trucks and local breweries will provide refreshments for attendees.

Steelton Junction is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a creative atmosphere where art, music, and community intersect, all in one of the most unique settings in Columbus. It’s a chance to connect with fellow community members, explore your artsy side, and support a worthy cause.
