Green Columbus is taking Earth Day to a larger scale this Sunday, April 26, with one of Central Ohio’s biggest celebrations of environmental action and community engagement.
The free event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Scioto Audubon Metro Park and will feature more than 80 vendors, live music, food trucks, and a full lineup of hands-on activities focused on sustainability and environmental education.
Throughout the day, attendees can explore organizations working on conservation, climate action, and community-based environmental efforts across Central Ohio. Many will be offering interactive exhibits and opportunities to get involved beyond the event itself.
The celebration also emphasizes waste reduction, with a zero-waste approach built into how the event is run.
Organizers are encouraging attendees to participate in keeping materials out of landfills and making more mindful choices while they’re there.
Crowds are expected to build steadily throughout the day, with the busiest window likely between noon and 3 p.m. Still, the event is designed to be flexible, making it easy to drop in at any point.
Green Columbus has grown Earth Day into a major regional effort in recent years. In 2025, its month-long volunteer push brought together more than 5,000 volunteers across 170 sites, contributing over 22,000 hours of environmental service.
This weekend’s celebration serves as the culmination of that work, bringing volunteers, local organizations, and residents into one shared space to mark Earth Day in Columbus. For more info, head over to earthdaycolumbus.org.
