Epic Rock & Roll Artifacts Are Coming to Columbus And You Can See Them for Free

Columbus is about to get a little more rock ‘n’ roll, thanks to an exciting partnership between the Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

From March 4 through May 22, the Main Library will host an electrifying exhibit featuring real, working rock-themed pinball machines, a drum set used by KISS, and iconic photos of legendary rock stars—including images by Columbus native and Rolling Stone photographer Baron Wolman.

This unique collaboration brings a taste of the Rock Hall’s legendary collection to central Ohio, giving music lovers a chance to get up close and personal with some seriously cool artifacts. Whether you’re a die-hard KISS fan or just someone who appreciates the nostalgia of a good pinball machine, there’s something in this exhibit for everyone.

CML is making this an interactive experience with rock-themed programs for all ages.

Kids can dive into music-inspired Storytimes and crafting sessions, while adults can test their knowledge with rock trivia and history programs. Whether you’re a future rock star or just looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon, the library is turning up the volume on engaging activities.

The exhibit is made possible through the support of the Columbus Metropolitan Library Foundation, with additional contributions from the Ohio History Connection. It’s a rare chance to see pieces of music history right here in Columbus, no road trip to Cleveland required.

The Main Library is located at 96 S Grant Ave, Columbus, OH 43215. To learn about more programming and exhibitions from CML, head over to columbuslibrary.org.
