The Junto, A New Boutique Hotel Near Franklinton, Opens Next Year

A new boutique hotel is opening very soon in Columbus.

The Junto will offer 198 rooms and suites, each full of creative interior design choices and unexpected touches.

Situated in an area that’s being called “Little West”, The Junto can be found a little west of downtown, near Franklinton. The hotel is just one of many big projects happening in the area, as the Scioto Peninsula is undergoing quite a transformation these days.

Named after Benjamin Franklin’s famed Junto Club, the hotel has a vibe that’s totally unique. The Junto Club was made up of a diverse group of people who were all interested in a few common goals, namely self-improvement and good conversation.

Thanks to the OG Junto Club, we have valuable resources like the nation’s first public library, volunteer firefighters, and more.

The vibes of that original Junto Club are alive and well at the Junto hotel. In addition to the nearly 200 guest rooms, the hotel will also be home to six different restaurants and hospitality spaces.

The Junto shared all of the details about those spaces, which you can read below. The hotel is located at 77 Belle Street, Columbus OH, 43215 and is expected to open in April of 2023. For more info, or to follow along for updates, visit thejuntohotel.com.

Maudine’s
Inspired by Columbus’ rich agricultural history and The Junto’s irreverent spirit, Maudine’s is named in honor of Ohio State University’s 1926 Homecoming Queen, Maudine, who also happened to be a cow. A neighborhood coffee shop where visitors can enjoy coffee, a diverse selection of alternative milks, a variety of pastries and baked goods, and grab & go items , all with a view of street activity.
Pranks aside, Maudine’s conjures up an image of an eccentric and friendly neighbor, always ready to lend you some sugar—a perfect muse for a coffee shop inside The Junto.
