High Street In Short North Will Be Pedestrian-Only For One Day

I hope you’re ready to sip and stroll, Columbus, because Hops on High is making its spring return on Saturday, May 3.

From 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., High Street will be closed off from East 2nd to Russell Street, transforming into an open-streets celebration packed with art, live performances, hands-on activities, and more. Think of it as Gallery Hop leveled up—bigger, bolder, and bursting with creativity.

What To Expect

This is not your average stroll through the Short North. Hops on High will feature 15+ free activities and giveaways, including:

  • Tea tasting with ZC Tea House
  • Rowing races with Orangetheory
  • Soccer fun with the Columbus Crew
  • Yard games + Insta-worthy photo ops by ZenGenius
  • Vintage screen printing with Prologue Bookshop
  • And a ton more—yes, even Mecha LiXi handouts

Arts organizations from all across Columbus are also getting in on the action.
