Glenn Avenue Soap Company is now open at Easton.
The local soap shop was started in 2009 by Dr. Sandra Metzler in Grandview Heights. Dr. Metzler is a mother of three and a Biomedical Engineer, and she wanted to combine her knowledge of chemistry, biology, and aromatherapy together to create safe skincare products for her family.
Glenn Avenue Soap Company creates clean and organic soaps, lotions, and skincare products that are handcrafted using traditional methods, simple ingredients, and pure essential oils. The new spot at Easton is the second retail location for the company. The first location is the company’s craft soaphouse on 5th Ave. in Grandview where customers can sample products and learn about the process of making soap.
“Glenn Avenue Soap Company is a perfect addition to our line up at Easton, particularly in the Shop/LAB space in the Station Building where customers can easily pop in and explore their unique soaps and skin products made right here in Columbus,” said Jennifer Peterson, Chief Executive of Easton. “Since their products are so ideal for gifting or treating yourself we expect they’ll be building a lot of loyal customers here, especially at the holidays.”
Glenn Avenue Soap Company will operate out of The Easton Shop/LAB, a 528 square foot retail incubator space located on the east side of the grand staircase in the Easton Station Building. Shop/LAB is for brands that are looking to create a brick-and-mortar presence or to expand in the area. Glenn Avenue Soap Company products will be available for purchase in the Shop/LAB space staffed by Easton Town Center team members.
