Columbus Taco Fest Will Return This Fall

Columbus Taco Fest is back.

The city’s biggest taco event will return this fall with a weekend of taco trucks, tequila, Mexican beer, and live entertainment.

The festival is back for its 3rd year on October 9-10, 2021. But this year, the fest will have a new location. Columbus Taco Fest is moving from Genoa Park to Goodale Park. “The most important thing for us in running the Taco Fest this year was simply bringing it back in its original format, but as safely as possible,” said Event Organizers Hugo Albornoz and Sydney Kondas. “While we are sad to leave our original location, we are excited to run our event out of such a historic location as Goodale Park.”

A portion of the proceeds form this year’s event will benefit the Ohio Restaurant Association’s Ohio Restaurant Employee Relief Fund. This emergency fund exists to help Columbus personnel in the food service industry who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As we all know, COVID-19 hit many small businesses hard, especially restaurants and the food industry, and we feel that it is our responsibility to give back to this industry, as the Columbus Taco Fest wouldn’t be possible without local food businesses,” said Albornoz and Kondas. “We’re proud to be among the many awesome companies that chose to help this great program.”

A list of participating taco trucks, live music lineup, and more information will be available soon at columbustacofest.com. The festival will be held at Goodale Park (120 W. Goodale St.) on Saturday October 9 from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday, October 10 from noon to 8 p.m. The festival is free to attend.
