The Adult Book Fair At Land-Grant Is the Nostalgia Trip We’ve Been Waiting For

If you ever blew your entire allowance on posters of cats hanging from vaguely psychedelic tree branches at the Scholastic Book Fair, this one’s for you. (Was that just me? It can’t be just me!)

On Sunday, September 14, Land-Grant Brewing Co. is turning its Franklinton taproom into something straight out of your childhood dreams: an Adult Book Fair, hosted by Wandering Quills Bookshop and a whole crew of local indie booksellers and makers.

Think of it like the book fair you begged your parents to give you $10 for, except now you’ve got adult money and the option to sip a cold IPA while you shop. (So, objectively better.)

Here’s a peek at the lineup: mobile bookstores like Bookspace, Little Gay Bookstore, Next Chapter Bookshop Plus, Novels and Needles, Tastes and Tomes, and Wandering Quills will be there slinging fresh reads. Plus, you’ll find vendors with all the cozy, nerdy, and totally unnecessary-but-absolutely-necessary stuff you secretly loved at book fairs—candles, crafts, art, even crochet.

Basically, you’re going to leave with a tote bag full of books and at least one candle that smells like “Dark Academia in October.”

📚🍻 The Details:

  • When: Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Where: Land-Grant Brewing Co., 145 Lucas Street, Columbus
  • Why: Because adulthood deserves book fairs, too.

Follow @wanderingquillsbooks on Instagram for updates and sneak peeks at the vendors. And start clearing off some shelf space now—you’re going to need it.
