The World’s Largest Indoor Go-Kart Track Is Coming To Columbus

Supercharged Entertainment broke ground Wednesday on a 125,000-square-foot indoor karting and arcade complex at 9300 Lyra Drive in Polaris, on a 16-acre site near Topgolf and Smash Park. The company says the venue will open in Summer 2027.

Supercharged bills itself as the world’s largest indoor, multi-level karting track. The facility will feature two temperature-controlled electric tracks with 25 elevation changes between them, and the two can be joined into a single 80,000-square-foot course the company calls the Supertrack.

What’s going in at Polaris

Beyond the racing, the plans call for:

  • Time Mission, a team-based attraction with more than 30 challenge rooms where groups race the clock and each other for the highest score.
  • A two-story arcade with close to 180 games, virtual reality included, plus a prize center.
  • The Drop & Twist Tower, a two-story ride that spins and drops through every floor of the building.
  • A full-service restaurant and bar.
  • Group and event space with catering.

Who’s behind it

Supercharged is run by Stephen and Sandra Sangermano, the company’s president and CEO. Polaris will be its fourth U.S. location and the fifth entertainment venue the Sangermano family has opened. The building is designed to mirror the original Supercharged in Edison, New Jersey, which opened in December 2022.

The landlord is NP Limited Partnership, whose managing director Franz Geiger called it “exactly the kind of destination experience” Polaris wants. This is the same stretch of Polaris that will soon see a new Trader Joe’s.

Go-karts in Columbus

Columbus lost a go-kart fixture when Magic Mountain East closed in July after decades on the East Side. A temperature-controlled indoor track will feel like a luxury during the months when Columbus is either frozen or sweating to death. This is a likely future entry on our indoor things to do list once it opens next summer.
