Yuletide Village Hits Pause This Weekend After Ice Takes Over Renaissance Park

If you were planning a holiday trip to Renaissance Park for Yuletide Village this weekend, you will have to wait a little longer. Organizers announced that the seasonal event will stay closed after icy conditions and freezing temperatures made the grounds unsafe for visitors and staff.

“The safety and comfort of our guests, cast, and crew is always our top priority,” Marketing Director Cheryl Bales said. She explained that the ongoing cold snap made it necessary to hold off on opening to protect everyone’s well-being.

Yuletide Village is expected to reopen next weekend with operating nights on Friday, December 12, and Saturday, December 13. Guests who already bought tickets will not need to exchange anything since all tickets are valid for any Friday or Saturday during the event.

Renaissance Park is a sprawling entertainment site in Warren County that hosts some of the region’s most popular themed events.

Its biggest draw is the Ohio Renaissance Festival, which transforms the grounds into a lively sixteenth century village each fall with jousting, turkey legs, artisans, and costumed performers.

The park also hosts Celtic celebrations, outdoor markets, and a variety of seasonal festivals throughout the year. Yuletide Village is one of its newer traditions and brings holiday lights, festive food, and cozy winter charm to the same immersive setting.

Bales thanked visitors for their understanding and said the team is looking forward to welcoming everyone back to enjoy the lights, festive treats, and holiday vibes once conditions improve.
