USWNT Returns to Columbus for SheBelieves Cup Match Against Canada

The U.S. Women’s National Team will return to Columbus on March 4 to face Canada in a SheBelieves Cup match at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field in the Arena District.

The matchup marks the second time in three years the two North American rivals will meet in Columbus. Their most recent meeting in the city came in April 2024, when the SheBelieves Cup concluded with a 2–2 draw before the U.S. secured the title in a penalty shootout.

The game will be part of an international doubleheader.

Argentina and Colombia will face off earlier in the afternoon, meeting again after a tightly contested semifinal match at last year’s Copa América Femenina. Together, the two matches will bring four national teams to downtown Columbus for an afternoon and evening of international play.

“These are three teams that will likely be in the World Cup in 2027 and of course we’ll likely see Canada in World Cup qualifying at the end of the year, so when focusing on our continued preparations and growth as a team, the SheBelieves Cup is of great value,” said U.S. head coach Emma Hayes.

“Each team brings different strengths and will challenge us to find success in all parts of the field, which is exactly what we need as we continue our process to build toward the big events on the horizon.”

The SheBelieves Cup match will also be the first event held at the stadium in 2026 under its new name. It comes just days before the Columbus Crew open their home schedule on March 7 against the Chicago Fire.

Columbus has been a familiar stop for the USWNT over the years.

The USWNT has been playing matches in Ohio since the early 1990s, but only three of those have been at Arena District stadium. The U.S. Women played nine matches at Historic Crew Stadium before the opening of the Crew’s new venue.

The SheBelieves Cup serves as an early-season international tournament and an opportunity for the U.S. to continue building toward future competitions, including the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. Tickets for the March 4 match go on sale to the public on January 12. For more info, head over to ussoccer.com.
