A Massive Saturday Night Live Exhibit Is Open at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

A new exhibit at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is paying tribute to one of the most iconic stages in television history — and it’s the only place where fans can explore 50 years of Saturday Night Live’s unforgettable music moments in full.

“SNL: Ladies & Gentlemen… 50 Years of Music” is open in Cleveland and offers an immersive journey through the show’s legendary performances and musical sketches. From Blondie and RUN-DMC to Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter, the exhibit spans decades of groundbreaking moments — all drawn from the show’s full musical archives, viewable only here.

Designed to mirror the flow of an SNL episode, the experience begins with a re-creation of the Studio 8H set in Rockefeller Center and takes fans through every segment, ending with the signature “Goodnights.” Visitors can step into the host spotlight themselves, explore stage props and costumes from iconic sketches like Wayne’s World, D–k in a Box, and The Sweeney Sisters, and snap a custom bumper-style photo in a specially designed SNL50 photo booth.

Also featured is an exclusive 20-minute edit of Questlove’s SNL music documentary, including never-before-seen footage, screening hourly in the Rock Hall’s Foster Theater.

The exhibit includes a digital companion experience, Spanish and English translations, and enhanced accessibility features. It’s part of a growing lineup at the Rock Hall, including current exhibits on the 2024 Inductees, Bon Jovi, and Revolutionary Women in Music.

If you’re an SNL fan — or just love great live music — it’s worth the trip north.
