Jackie O’s is one of my favorite Ohio breweries, and I’m not alone.
Based out of Athens, Jackie O’s has some of the best craft beer in the state, and they’ve got the awards to prove it. If you are a fan of the beer, you may be interested to learn that you can get a one of a kind experience by booking a stay at Jackie O’s Barrel Ridge Farm.
The property sleeps up to 12 guests and has tons of a natural light, a gorgeous chef’s kitchen, and plenty of outdoor space. There’s a hot tub, a grill, a fire pit, two ponds, and plenty of farm to explore.
The farm is 20+ acres, with greenhouses, fruit, and nut trees. The vegetables and herbs grown in the greenhouses can be enjoyed at Jackie O’s Public House Restaurant in Athens and the products from fruit and nut trees are used in Jackie O’s small batch brewpub beers.
If you visit in summer, you can cool off in the swimming pond. If it’s chilly, hop in the hot tub or warm up around the fire pit and enjoy some delicious beer.
The farm doesn’t have wifi, so think of it as an opportunity to really unplug and getaway with friends or family. Guests of the farm can schedule tours of the property, including the woodshop where tap handles are carefully crafted. While visiting, you’ll be just a short drive from downtown Athens where you can swing by Jackie O’s to see what the final product of all that hard farm work looks like.
