Tavares Strachan: The Day Tomorrow Began is the first museum survey in the U.S. of pathbreaking conceptual artist Tavares Strachan (born 1979, Nassau, Bahamas). Through immersive, multisensory installations and monumental artworks, the exhibition shines a light on “invisible figures and histories—with a focus on under-recognized leaders and explorers, from Jamaican activist Marcus Garvey to Robert Henry Lawrence, Jr., the first African-American astronaut.
