Columbus Symphony Will Bring “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back” To Life This Spring

Star Wars burst onto our screens over 40 years ago, and its popularity has only increased.

The impact of the Star Wars films isn’t just on the film industry. From the epic visual effects to the inspiring musical score, Star Wars is one of those cultural phenomenons that you just know will remain popular.

You can get immersed in that galaxy far, far away for yourself in May when the music of John Williams will be on full display at Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back In Concert.

This symphonic concert experience will screen the complete film while being accompanied by a live performance of John William’s musical score by the Columbus Symphony.

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back In Concert will be held at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) on Friday, May 6, at 8 pm. Tickets are $25-$88 and can be purchased in-person at the CBUSArts Ticket Center (39 E. State St.), online at www.columbussymphony.com, or by phone at (614) 469-0939.

This Oscar-nominated score is just one of John Williams’ many masterpieces. In fact, Williams has composed the score for eight out of the top 20 highest-grossing films at the US box office. For more info about the concert, or to purchase tickets, visit columbussymphony.com.
