A beloved Columbus summer tradition is back, and it’s the perfect blend of books, big screens, and family fun.
Now in its 15th year, From Book to Film is a collaborative series between Columbus Metropolitan Library (CML) and Gateway Film Center that offers free movie admission to CML library cardholders. That’s right, friends. All summer long, cardholders can enjoy a lineup of classic and modern films that were adapted from books, with no cost for up to four people per screening.
How it works: Just show your CML card at the box office on Saturdays or Sundays, and you’re in. Screenings run every weekend through August 31, 2025 at Gateway Film Center, located at 1550 N High St, Columbus, OH 43201.
The 2025 From Book to Film Lineup
Each film in the series is based on a beloved book, from whimsical children’s stories to sci-fi icons. Here’s the full schedule:
