One of Columbus’ best bars is getting some well-earned national attention.
Cobra was just named a Top 10 honoree in two categories at the 2026 Spirited Awards: Best U.S. Restaurant Bar and Best U.S. Bar Team in the U.S. Central region.
That’s a big deal.
The Spirited Awards, presented by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, are among the most respected honors in the cocktail world. Bars from across the country and around the globe are considered, and landing in the Top 10 puts Cobra in the same conversation as standout spots in cities like Chicago, Austin, New Orleans, and Detroit.
And this isn’t a one-time thing.
Cobra earned Top 10 recognition in both categories last year, too, and was a finalist for Best New U.S. Cocktail Bar in 2024. For a relatively young spot, that kind of consistency says a lot.
If you’ve spent any time there, it makes sense. The drinks are thoughtful without being overcomplicated, the food holds its own, and the team behind the bar clearly cares about what they’re doing. It’s the kind of place you go for one drink and end up staying a while (and probably walking out with some adorable photo booth pics).
In announcing the news, the team thanked their staff and the community for the support. It’s the kind of recognition that reflects both. Awards like this come from industry experts, but they’re built on what’s happening night after night.
Finalists will be announced later this summer in New Orleans, where the awards are held during the annual Tales of the Cocktail conference.
For now, it’s another win for Cobra and a nice reminder that Columbus’ bar scene continues to show up on a national stage.
