Maybe you need a giant pumpkin you want to carve the most massive jack-o-lantern on your street? Or perhaps your family is more into painting pumpkins, so you’re looking for a perfectly symmetrical pumpkin.

Lehner’s Pumpkin Farm

With approximately 40 acres of pumpkins and gourds, your perfect pumpkin awaits at Lehner’s Pumpkin Farm. There are pre-picked and washed pumpkins in the yard, or you can head out to the 15-acre pumpkin patch to pick your own. Pumpkins range in price from $2.50 for pie pumpkins up to $15 for very, large carving pumpkins. Admission is free if all you’re doing is buying pumpkins from the yard!

Miller’s Country Gardens

No matter what you need a pumpkin for, you can find it at Miller’s Country Gardens. They have a massive pumpkin pile that you can choose from or, if you visit on the weekends, you can pick your own. If you’d like to take advantage of the u-pick option, you’ll hop on the hay wagon for a ride out to the pumpkin patch. If you’re happier to just grab a pumpkin out of the pile, you can visit any time, Wednesday-Sunday in October.

Hann Farm’s Market

Hann’s Farm Market is just a quick jaunt from the heart of Downtown Columbus. Throughout they year, they have all sorts of goodies, including strawberries, sweet corn, tomatoes, and of course, pumpkins! The market only accepts cash or check (with valid ID) so make sure you hit the ATM before heading out.

Freeman’s Farm

Enjoy a hayride through the scenic woods of Freeman’s Farm, delicious fresh popped kettle corn, fall treats, and decorations including pumpkins, fall squash, gourds, decorations, and more.

Freeman’s Farm hosts a fall festival and market throughout October. Admission is completely free, but you’ll need to pay extra for activities, food, and items purchased at the market. Admission is free. There is a charge for food, some activities, and items purchased in the fall market. Pick a pumpkin, sip on some warm beverages, and enjoy the spoils of autumn!

Jacquemin Farms

This family farm offers both homegrown and locally grown produce. The Market at Jacquemin Farms is open weekdays through October 31 and in addition to pumpkins, you can also get gourds & homemade goods. If you’d like to pick your pumpkin yourself, you can do that on weekends at the farm.

Lynd Fruit Farm

Lynd Fruit Farm offers both pre-picked pumpkins and a u-pick option. You can pick your own pumpkin throughout the month of October. That being said, the pumpkin patch is usually sold out by mid-October, so don’t wait too long! You can also swing by the market choose your favorite pre-picked pumpkin.

Pigeon Roost Farm

The pumpkin patch at Pigeon Roost Farm is open Wednesday through Sunday through the end of October. There are tons of activities at Pigeon Roost for the whole family to check out in the Great Pumpkin Fun Center including a corn maze, an obstacle course, farm animals, a kiddie zipline, and more. It’s a fall destination full of fun.

Leeds Farm

Leeds Farm is located just northwest of Columbus and they’re open Saturdays and Sundays only until the end of October. From hayrides to zip lines, this farm definitely has something for everyone. You can’t pick your own pumpkins in the fields on the farm, but you can choose from pre-picked pumpkins in the barnyard. Pumpkins range in price depending on their size.

Head out to Sunbury to enjoy all of the fall fun that Hidden Creek Farms has to offer. Take a hayride out to pick the perfect pumpkin from the patch, go down the giant slide, or have a visit with some of the farm’s animals. Hidden Creek also offers all of the fall treats that everyone loves, including apple cider, kettle corn, and fresh-baked pies. The farm is open daily throughout October.

Circle S Farms is home to one of my favorite pumpkin patches around Central Ohio. That may be because I grew up going here with my family, or just because it’s awesome. Either way, it should definitely make your shortlist of pumpkin patch contenders. Take the hayride, stop by the petting zoo, and enjoy a full day of fall at the “family fun farm”. Fall festival weekends run through the end of October.
