A Massive Candy Store With A $5 Candy Buffet Is Opening In Downtown Delaware

A sweet new destination is headed to downtown Delaware.

Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop has announced that it will soon open a new location at 17 N. Sandusky Street, bringing its famous candy buffet, nostalgic treats, and hundreds of craft sodas to Central Ohio.

The announcement was made on the new Delaware store’s social media pages, where the company teased that the shop will be opening “very soon.”

“We’re not your average Joe candy shop,” the post reads. “Prepare to be amazed with an unbelievable selection of hard-to-find nostalgic favorites, a collection of international candies unmatched in the region, over 350 varieties of glass bottled craft soda, ice cream, popcorn, and unique toys, games, and gifts! Oh, and we shouldn’t forget to mention: our World Famous $5 Candy Buffet!”

If you’ve ever tried to track down a favorite candy from childhood, Grandpa Joe’s is up for the challenge. The company promises that if customers come in looking for “that one candy you used to get as a child,” they’ll “figure it out or die trying.”

The Delaware location will feature thousands of candies from around the world, including nostalgic classics, international favorites, trending treats, sugar-free options, and bulk candy. Beyond the sweets, visitors can also expect more than 350 varieties of glass bottled soda, gourmet chocolates, popcorn, hand-scooped ice cream, milkshakes, floats, and a selection of toys, games, and gifts.

One of the store’s biggest draws is its famous $5 Candy Buffet, which has become a signature feature at Grandpa Joe’s locations across the country.

An official opening date has not yet been announced, but judging by the company’s repeated promise that it’s opening “very soon,” candy lovers may not have to wait much longer.
